Mansion Library

My latest environment during my second year of Uni. I wanted to do an environment that mainly inspired The Haunting of Hill House and the Resident Evil Series. I've always enjoyed seeing environments with a lot of atmosphere, and with the library, I wanted to do a similar style. All assets were made by me, however, wooden floor/wall texture was provided by Quixel Bridge.

Assets were made in Blender, textured in Substance Painter and built in Unreal Engine 4.

The paintings included in the environment were by Théodore Géricault (1771-1824)

To save on texture streaming, I only made 8 objects for the books that are on the shelf. I then rearranged the UVs on each book on one texture sheet to make the illusion that there are many books on the shelves.
